The Berel Ginges Australia Computer Centre is situated on the ground floor of
the cafeteria building, a central location of the campus, where students
congregate during their free time. The Center’s self-study area includes a quiet
zone with approximately fifty stations, plus two specially allocated areas for
group study with six to seven stations each.

The Centre provides the students with the following:
1. Student computing and processing tools and communication protocols
All students are able to access software to prepare their academic
assignments - papers and seminars. In addition, they have access to data bases
and websites. They are also able to access teaching material that is prepared by
their lecturers.
2. Computer-assisted teaching and research program
The Centre provides the students with computer-assisted teaching
and research
in various study topics such as physiology, anatomy and veterinary medicine;
genomics and proteomics, physics and biochemistry.
The Centre's manager and tutors assist the users when faced with any
difficulties using the computers, software and computer-related equipment. The
Centre is also equipped with scanners and CD writers and both color and regular
printers.
Study programs at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment are constantly being revised and faculty members invest significant
efforts to incorporate state-of-the-art teaching aids, including appropriate
software, to provide the students with the best academic education possible.
Both easy accessibility and access to the sophisticated hard- and software at
the Centre encourage students to take advantage of the self-study courseware.
The Berel Ginges Australia Computer Centre markedly contributes to the
advancement of teaching and learning at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
