SCHEDULE FOR SYMPOSIUM 2

designing crops

The Millenium Goals - alleviating hunger and fighting malnutrition - have become the buzzwords for ambitious aims set for the developing world by the international community.

To meet these goals, more nutritious food must be delivered to increasing numbers of people in economically and locally viable ways.

Plant scientists can play a major role in this process, particularly in projects integrating agriculture and nutrition, and the plant and food sciences.

On Thursday, September 10, lectures and presentations by experts from Israel and abroad will focus on this issue.
