Triaspis thoracica (Curtis)

Taxonomic placing: Insecta, Holometabola, Hymenoptera, Apocrita, Chalcidoidea, Braconidae.

Morphology: Body about 1.5 mm in length, mostly dark yellow, abdomen sometimes darker, wings richly veined, anterior antennal segments yellow, distal segments dark.

Geographic distribution: Common in Europe, the Middle East and South America.

Economic importance: An important parasitoid of Bruchus pisorum.
