Accessory glands

Also termed paragonadal glands, they are associated with the reproductive system of males and females. These glands sequester or produce compounds that help in the maintenance, development and control of reproduction, or contribute to the structure of the spermatophore in males or to that of the egg-case, or to the adhesion of eggs to the substrate.
