Migration

The directional movement of young, reproductively immature adults, in order to attain optimal environmental conditions. This displacement is usually in anticipation, or as a consequence of, the seasonal deterioration of habitat and climate. Displacement in space (migration) may be regarded as an alternative to displacement in time (e.g. diapause).
