Encyrtidae

A large family (about 4,000 species) of parasitic Hymenoptera that attack members of most insect orders, but especially the Hemiptera and Lepidoptera. They include important natural enemies, such as Anagyrus pseudococci, Leptomastix, Microterys nietneri and Neodusmetia sangwani, which control major agricultural pests.
