Webbing

Silky threads produced by spiders, spider mites (Tetranychidae), a few Eriophyoidea, the larvae of the Lepidoptera and of some Diptera. Spiders produce their webs from glands on their abdomen, but insects and spider mites from ducts that are located at their mouth parts.
