My research deals with natural resource economics under uncertainty with emphasis on water resources and resource management under catastrophic threats. The first line of research includes conjunctive management of ground and surface water under stochastic surface water supply, and water allocation and pricing. The second studies effects of catastrophic threats on optimal management policies in various resource situations, such as global warming policies under risk of climate change induced catastrophes, exploitation of coastal aquifers under threats of seawater intrusion, and bio-economic management under threats of ecological collapse.
